The purpose of the Women’s Ministry at Church of the Lakes is to foster a joyful relationship with God for women of all ages by encouraging spiritual growth, serving God, and supporting one another.
Our Women’s Ministry focuses on four areas: Spiritual, Social, Service, and Support. We look forward to your participation in these groups and activities.
Restored: Finding Redemption in our Mess

Walk to Emmaus
Dates: April 19th – 22nd
Place: Camp Wanake, Beach City, Ohio
Description: A spiritual renewal program intended to develop Christian disciples and leaders. Jesus – Sight & Sound Theatre Production Bus Trip

Description: A group to help provide mental and social stimulation and allow an arena for sharing concerns and discussing current issues. They offer opportunities for discussions of substance, speakers/special programs and outings/field trips.
REFIT® Fitness Group

Description: REFIT® is a cardio dance program that engages the whole person: body, mind, and soul. In this hour-long fitness class, participants will find easy to learn movements, inspiring music, and a family-friendly environment for all ages. Open to women, men, youth and children. Suggested donation of $3 per family each week.

Description: Knits and crochets prayer shawls to be a comfort for those going through trials in life both inside and outside our church. All skill levels are welcome, they can even teach you to knit or crochet and have supplies that you can use. Over 500 shawls have been donated since this ministry started.

Description: Makes baby quilts and scent dolls for NICU patients at Aultman hospital, Pregnancy Choices, Canton Calvary Mission, and for children being baptized at our church. Also, now working on new projects: stuffed animals for foster children for SAFY, Specializing Alternatives for Family & Youth, “Pretty Pocket” a discrete way to hide drain ports for breast cancer patients, dresses for girls in Africa,” Dress a Girl Around the World”, a campaign of Hope for Women Around the World International. We need non-sewers to cut fabric and stuff the animal toys. Come once a month or what works for you. No experience needed, and all supplies are provided.
MOPS and MOMSnext

Description: MOPS is for mothers of children, birth through preschool; MOMSnext is for mothers of children, elementary age or older. Being a mom is beautiful and hard and we get that sometimes you just need a safe space to breath. A place to get some encouragement that what you are doing matters. Friends are welcome. This is motherhood, and together we can change the world in all the best ways.
