The city of ancient Corinth was much like our own modern-day cities: a melting pot of electrifying cultural experiences to be had, along with the myriad pitfalls of spiritual depravity. Still, Paul wrote to the church of God in Corinth. Meaning God’s church is meant to thrive in any city and every circumstance in which we find ourselves. Paul’s letter is as timely as ever. Books are available for $15, contact Angela.

Women’s Weekend Retreat

Place: Carisle Inn in Walnut Creek
Speaker: Angela Fritz
Join us at this year’s retreat, where we will be echoing the disciples’ request, “Lord, teach us to pray”. Throughout the weekend, we will learn about various ways to connect with God through prayer. We will look to prayers in the Bible beginning with The Lord’s Prayer that can inspire your own. We will learn that God welcomes your praise and lament, your thanksgiving and intercession. Above all, you’ll notice there’s no one right way to pray. As you draw near to God through prayer, you’ll find your faith strengthened and your heart united to Christ.
