Jason—Jared’s twin brother—is a gifted musician who will be performing on renaissance lute\, joined by Eileen\, soprano. Their program\, “Lutany\, Love Songs and Laments\,” promises to be a beautiful and moving evening of music. \n  \nWe are launching a new concert series at the church—an opportunity to bring excellent music to our congregation and to the wider community. Each event will include a free will offering to help sustain the series\, and we are also beginning to build a financial foundation to support it. DESCRIPTION:A Baptism by Immersion service will be held on Sunday\, May 24th\, after the 11:00 services in the activity center. Anyone who has never been baptized into the Christian faith and would like the chance to make a profession of faith in Jesus and be baptized by immersion are invited to take part. There will be an informational meeting with Pastor Jared on Sunday\, May 17th\, 5:30 pm in room 206. DESCRIPTION:Help us build a home for Brittany Kerns and her son. The build will take place May 30th – September 19th. \nMeet our habitat family and sign one of the studs that will be used to build their home on Sunday\, May 17th after all services. \nThere are opportunities to help the build team onsite on Saturdays (also Wednesday 7/1 and Friday 7/24). You can also help with some projects at Habitat on certain Thursdays (6/18\, 7/16\, 8/13). We also need people to provide devotions\, snacks and meals for the crews on Saturdays. SUMMARY:Royal Family Kids Camp
DESCRIPTION:Royal Family Kids Camp Every July\, Church of the Lakes offers a full week of positive memories for children who harbor painful memories of abuse or neglect. The Camp serves Stark County foster children\, ages 7-11. The week of camp is full of activities and events\, such as swimming\, sports\, a camper variety show\, a carnival\, a birthday party and presents\, making birdhouses\, shopping in the free clothing store\, hiking\, painting\, a spa day and so much more. Camp is a great way for these children to learn about the love of Jesus Christ and how He can impact their life. It is truly a magical time for these children and our volunteers. \nWe are in need of donations of items for snacks for the RFKC staff and campers.
