Get some lemonade and support Imagine No Malaria!

Visit the lemonade stand set up under the portico after each service on May 21st.

There is no set price for items, so please give what you can. Donations of cash or checks (made out to Church of the Lakes with Imagine No Malaria in the memo line) are accepted.

Logan Martens, and his friend, Molly McNamara of Bay Village, have raised more than $80,000 in the last nine years—selling lemonade—to purchase insecticide-treated bed nets.  They support an organization called Imagine No Malaria, a United Methodist church-wide effort to overcome malaria in Africa and eliminate deaths caused by the disease. They have a goal of reaching $100,000 in donations by this year, 2017.

Logan and Molly got their start at Lakeside, setting up a lemonade stand during Annual Conference.  They had a boost from their grandfathers, Adriel Thrash, and Don Lefelar, both retired pastors, who agreed to match lemonade stand donations every year. Their churches got on board next, and soon other churches followed. The kids receive continued support from Bishop Hopkins, who announces their donation totals on the floor of the conference each summer.
